Weekly Catch Up

Well, it’s been another busy week in real life but I’ve managed to get some decent gaming time in – here goes πŸ™‚

During the week I’ve been running my main TR, Hymm, on Sarlona and had a few nights running with Micki & Dom on Orien.

Because both my TR’s had hit level 13, but two of our guildies are not really playing at the moment, the other 3 of us decided to switch which TR’s we were concentrating on. Hymm is my main guy that I like the most πŸ™‚ He’s now at level 14 and with 15 banked.

Thursday night I ran the Phiarlan Carnival chain which went really well. Though Micki has no idea how to find her way around A Small Problem πŸ™‚ Friday we ran The Pit & Gwylans Stand. I got to run these with my level 8 light monk I’m experimenting with on Orien and yay! I didn’t die πŸ™‚

The weekend was spent with the Defence Guild again. The aim was to get the max Purple Dragon Knight favour currently available. So, we ran hE Murder in the Night ( where Tobril Rik Rolled us 😦 ) & hE The Riddle, both fairly straightforward. We then went to run eE In The Belly of the Beast.

Which we couldn’t do. Not because of any problems on our side, but because part way through the fight with one of the optionals – everyone disappeared! When we got to the arena, we were immediately in the arena – no byplay with the NPC. We came out, tried it again without trying any optionals – same problem. Samius looked it up and turns out there is a known issue with that mission. So we breezed through it on eH instead.

We followed this up by running through all 6 of the Eveningstar challenges and got those 5 starred. Torrance got a few Cormyrian items dropped (in the Arena challenges I believe) but nobody really wanted them πŸ™‚

And to finish the night off, we ran eH Von 5 & 6. Good run, I feel I’m getting to the point where I remember what needs doing in there πŸ™‚ The Velah fight went extremely well – and Samius pulled a +4 to +5 Con upgrade tome!

Sunday we spent the day running more stuff with our TR’s, running the Lordsmarch chain. Legend logged on and kindly gave me a whole bunch of crafting essences because he’d seen me moaning on twitter about my current lack preventing my levelling any further. So I gave him a hug πŸ™‚

When the DG guys logged on we tried to farm a Wall of Wood for Torrance from Overgrowth, but the timing on killing everything before the Woad disappears is tight. So we didn’t manage to get one 😦

And finally we tried 6 manning Caught in the Web.

The idea was to go in, have a look around, see how it worked. We actually ended up getting all the way to the portal keepers fight. In fact – we had the damn portal down at one point! But we weren’t quick enough to get Anna through it. Dammit! And then we wiped. It was getting late by that point, so the UK peeps decided to call it a night.

We’ll get you next time Lolth!! {shakes fist}

Have fun, see you around!

  1. πŸ™‚ I need to do challenges for favor. I don’t like them, but I need to 5 star stuff.

Oh and +4 to +5 upgrade tome? Didn’t know they existed.

    • The arena challenges in Eveningstar are fun imho, but not so bothered about the others

And I’m fairly sure that’s his second of those types of upgrade tomes he had last week. Lucky git…

  2. A Hug for me πŸ˜€

The challenges are pretty short, fairly easy to get 5 stars plus the xp is awesome the first time you complete.

Congrats Grim, hopefully you finish the raid soon πŸ™‚
