When I first started playing DDO, back in 2010, my main character was Fyrne. And I had plans to get him to Completionist, then triple completionist. Then I created an alt, who I named Hymm. He was my first monk character. And I loved him. The monk was so much fun, I started playing more lives as Hymm. And at some point in 2013 (judging by this blog) I had decided that he would be my triple completionist.Continue reading
No, this blog is not about these guys
I’m now on my last Alchemist life, just 3 levels to go before an Iconic TR and triple completionist!Continue reading
U46: The Lost Gatekeepers was released for DDO on Thursday 23rd April 2020. This is a pack of 5 quests, playable level 3 & 32.
We had to give the new quests a try, obviously! Because our mains were at level 17, we dusted off some alts sitting at level 30.Continue reading
It’s been a while hasn’t it? 8 months in fact. Wow, where does the time go…?
I’m still here. I have a DDO blog post to put out soon but I thought I’d do a little catch up, since it’s been such a long time.Continue reading
Here is the last of a series of 4 posts of some nifty screenshots I’ve taken within DDO over the years.
Here is part 3 of a series of 4 posts of some nifty screenshots I’ve taken within DDO over the years.
Here is part 2 of a series of 4 posts of some nifty screenshots I’ve taken within DDO over the years.
I’ve been having a bit of a clear-out on the PC and realised I have quite a few high res pictures taken within DDO that I think might make great desktop backgrounds! So here is part 1 of a series of 4 posts that will make them available for people.
Or you can just look at the pretty pictures and be grateful I’ve *written* a blog for the first time in 8 months 😀 I’ve tried not to add pictures with my character in the way, but there a few where I don’t think it effects the picture too much.
We’ve recently hit level 9 on our whatever life we are currently on. We like level 9 – it has what we call our trio of XP quests:- Gwylan’s Stand, Tear of Dhakaan and (everyone’s favourite) The Pit, all run at elite.
We didn’t used to be fans of this quest. But once I came across the map by Lessah and Clankenbeard I found it much easier to navigate, and it’s been a staple quest ever since. We usually run it first, pop an XP pot before pulling the last valve, then run the 2 other quests. It’s a lot of XP!
I’m sure I won’t be the first or last DDO blogger to cover Ravenloft. I may even do some more on the new expansion pack, as we only had a chance to run 3 of the available 12 quests when we stepped in for the first time last night. Note for anyone who has not looked at the new quests there may be some minor spoilers.
OK, so, disclaimers! We ran the quests at Heroic Elite (level 12) and we are currently level 14. We’ve not read anything about the new quests/areas and didn’t try the Lammania preview.
