Hey all. Apologies for the looong time between blog posts and app updates. Turns out the whole world being in lockdown had no effect in terms of free time for me – and the free time I have had has been used to play DDO 😀

Anyway, I finally have the next version of the DDO Puzzle App deployed to the Google Play Store. This includes a Pentacle light puzzle and the Smash & Burn Dice Puzzle solver, written by FuryFlash.

The Pentacle light puzzle is just a replication of the DDO Wiki image that tells you what to press. I really wanted to do something a bit more interactive but that’s going to have to wait.

The Smash & Burn dice puzzle is just a view of FuryFlash’s website. It’s a *tiny* bit squished on a phone, so I would highly recommend you use the site from a normal browser where you can. But it does work on the app and this might let more people know about the solver. And many thanks again to FuryFlash for a) creating it and b) letting me include it in the app.

Getting the app available to Apple hasn’t gone particularly well. Unfortunately, because the app uses screenshots taken from DDO, Apple regards this as copyright infringement. I’m not sure how I’m going to work around that so for now – it’s parked

I have a few requests for anyone reading this who might use the app:-

1. I’m trying to find out if anyone uses landscape mode. I put a fair bit of effort in to try and get the layout correct for both landscape and portrait mode. But if nobody actually uses landscape I might just try and save myself some time going forward.
2. Are there any preferences for what to add next? I still have Shroud light puzzles on my list (but that would require thinking) – any others?
