Progress Report

The TR grind continues with the New Year. Hymm & Rach’s main character Willowing are now level 14 with 15 banked. We have pretty much blasted easily through the levels so far. The champions have made some of the quests a bit more interesting but haven’t really slowed us down. The extra loot ( aka guild renown) is always nice though 🙂

Up until level 10 we were running out of ranks & levels before we ran out of quests to run. We could pick and choose which quests we wanted to skip and still level without any problem (and the XP bonus helped too!). We have even had to run a few quests over level in order to finish the chain (Delera springs to mind – we finally made the effort to get an extra Voice of the Master & Mantle of the Worldshaper to get that augment crafted).

Tomb of the Tormented. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it

We’re now just past the section of levelling where I find we have problems. The XP is there – but there are some quests I don’t enjoy and it tends to restrict our choice. I’m not a big fan of the Restless Isles quests (or raid – I’ve run it once). We’ve got through the levels, though, and should have no problem finding things to do between now and level 20.

The plan is to get all the way to 28 then eTR & TR. I can’t remember how many eTR’s we’ve managed to fit in so far (2 or 3) but we’d like to try and get a few more of those done to start working towards that extra Twist of Fate 🙂

It’s not all been about the TR though. At the weekend one of our friends from our old guild “Heroes of the Dragons Wrath” managed to get online for the first time in a while. Since he’s only level 7 we decided to quickly create some Vet II characters to run with him. I had to take the opportunity to get a monk ‘fix’ and so created a pure monk halfling. Aaah Stunning Fist, I have missed you 😀

Grasshoppyr. He may not have good gear – but that’s no excuse to not look good!

Have fun, see you around!

  1. Oh, the Restless Isles… also known as “why people hate level 10.” Blergh, I can’t stand those quests. Repeatedly running Wiz King and Jungles, here I come.

  2. Yeah, you have to love leveling through the level 10 area. I don’t mind the Restless Isles overall, it just irritating to make you way out to those quests and both of them are pretty long to run, which makes them even less appealing. Tomb of the Tormented…ugh…I’m getting ready to run that later this week with Hamllin…I hate moving them dang rates through those mazes…

    • I have to admit, I found something that made it a bit easier.. you know how Pale Master auras work on the carrion eaters & worgs so you can kill them off? Same goes for the Hand of the Tombs rune arm… so my artibard killed the stuff in the maze, disabled the traps in the last one – made it much more straightforward 😀
