U21 is here

This is a really quick look at U21 which was released by DDO yesterday.

I only had a quick hour to run around so I headed up to the Thunder Peak with Rach. Guildies Samius & Jayuus joined us shortly after. Jayuus had already had a run round for a few hours in the Ruins of Thunderholme so he ran us to the first red named, Dagan for a quick kill.

Fighting dawrven skeletons

There were quite a lot of mobs to kill, which made a nice bit of XP from the kill count. Even if Samius was upset the skeletons weren’t taking full damage from his shuriken build 😀 But we managed to find some non-skeleton things for him to hit.

I thought this was water so jumped in for a swim…

It wasn’t!

Samius & Jayuus had to go, so Rach & I decided to give the Haunted Halls of Eveningstar mission a try. Unfortunately we didn’t realise the time, so didn’t actually finish the quest. But my initial thoughts are that it’s fun, with a variety of bad guys (so far), lots of corridors, secret doors, traps….. And that’s all I’m going to say because I don’t want to give it away for anyone who hasn’t run it yet 🙂 I am really liking the Ed Greenwood narration though. It was also nice to realise, while running around the ruins in Thunder Peak, that the DM from the Lordsmarch missions is narrating those areas – nice to have her back!

Hopefully we’ll get chance to run the mission in full this week & I’ll try and do a post for it once I have.

Have fun, see you around!

  1. That place be scary. Most folks in the forums love the difficulty, although a few whiners expect to see signs like “This bitch will TOTALLY kill you” and forget that some monsters resist your barbaric attempts to pummel them. They need to think things through. 🙂
