Hymm Follow Up – Epic Levels

Last weekend, we had the mad dash from 1 – 20 with our TR’s. This weekend was all about the epic XP. The three of us from the HotDW guild had hit the House P chain and part of the House D chain during the week. Once the DG joined us on Saturday we ran through the Red Fens & VoN chains on EH, followed by the first 2 quests in the Lords of Dust chain.

Again, I have to say that the team, with all the self heals we have going on (helf cleric dille, warforged, UMD) blitzed through without any real problems. I guess it also helps that we’re all on 3+ lives so have lots of gear. I didn’t actually realise how many clickies I had on Hymm…..

TR Weekend

As you’ll know if you read Samius’ blog, 3 of my guild and 3 of his guild TR’d last weekend. We’d all purchased Otto Boxes while they were on sale in the Turbine store and were waiting for confirmation of when the next XP bonus weekend would be. I wasn’t expecting it to be the following weekend.. oh well – all plans put on hold 😀

Hello Our DDO

I don’t know how you got to this site. You may have stumbled across me from a Google search, or from another blog site. Or you are one of the refugees that have been turned out of the MyDDO site, the blogging facility for DDO (Dungeons & Dragons Online) that is being closed down by Turbine in April.

However you got here – hi 🙂 You might not find what I have to say that interesting, but sometimes I just have to talk. I’ll try and put some nice pictures up to keep you entertained. I hope you stick around.

 

 

LFM UP LOSERS

I felt the need to blog about this. It really annoyed me.

Yesterday I put an LFM up for FoT. While waiting for the group to fill I got a tell saying ‘LFM UP LOSERS’. Odd, I thought, maybe I missed an existing LFM and the guy was annoyed… So I checked the panel. No, mine was the only FoT up there.

Then an LFM did pop up, from the person who had sent me the tell.

OK… I’ve blanked the name out, but let me just say it suggested he (I’m saying he for ease of writing..) came from another server which he obviously felt was much better than Sarlona.

So here’s my thoughts:-

  • DDO is an MMO. You know, lots of us, playing together…
  • FoT is a raid. Yes, I’ve short manned it. That was our choice at the time. That does not mean I refuse to play with other players, so getting 12 people together so we can all have fun and try to pull loot makes sense.
  • I know for a fact we have players on Sarlona who can solo eE GH. Good for them. I don’t want to 🙂
  • If your other server is so great wtf are you doing on Sarlona then?

I think I’m a fairly easy going person. I don’t really get annoyed easily, I tend to get along with people and just let things go if someone does tick me off. But this? This is why some of us don’t like to pug so much, how a few people can ruin it for everyone else.

So if the person in question should by some chance read this blog, my message is – grow the hell up!

Buck Rogers!

Last night I managed two things. I finally got my 3rd Commendation by running FoT to get my Flawless White Dragonscale armour for my tank, Grypp. Then, we re-ran the Tor on eH and I actually pulled the +3 Insightful Strength White Helmet that I thought I was going to have to grind away for months to get. The loot gods were definitely on my side last night!

Except… that armour is very white! It reminded me of the outfit Buck Rogers used to wear in the old TV series. And when @stretchicus mentioned I needed a metal sidekick – well I already have one and could resist 🙂

Also, thanks to Samius I got the Manacles of Ceaseless Toil, which means Samius is well ahead in the good guy points. I must do something about that.. hmmm.. 😛
