Here is part 2 of a series of 4 posts of some nifty screenshots I’ve taken within DDO over the years.
I’ve been having a bit of a clear-out on the PC and realised I have quite a few high res pictures taken within DDO that I think might make great desktop backgrounds! So here is part 1 of a series of 4 posts that will make them available for people.
Or you can just look at the pretty pictures and be grateful I’ve *written* a blog for the first time in 8 months ๐ I’ve tried not to add pictures with my character in the way, but there a few where I don’t think it effects the picture too much.
We’ve recently hit level 9 on our whatever life we are currently on. We like level 9 – it has what we call our trio of XP quests:- Gwylan’s Stand, Tear of Dhakaan and (everyone’s favourite) The Pit, all run at elite.
We didn’t used to be fans of this quest. But once I came across the map by Lessah and Clankenbeard I found it much easier to navigate, and it’s been a staple quest ever since. We usually run it first, pop an XP pot before pulling the last valve, then run the 2 other quests. It’s a lot of XP!
I’m sure I won’t be the first or last DDO blogger to cover Ravenloft. I may even do some more on the new expansion pack, as we only had a chance to run 3 of the available 12 quests when we stepped in for the first time last night. Note for anyone who has not looked at the new quests there may be some minor spoilers.
OK, so, disclaimers! We ran the quests at Heroic Elite (level 12) and we are currently level 14. We’ve not read anything about the new quests/areas and didn’t try the Lammania preview.

Way back when, in the mists of time *cough* 3 years ago *cough* I said I was putting together an app that would bring together solvers for the puzzles found in DDO. And as of today – that app is live!
As an excuse I would like to offer Bonnie’s explanantion
OK, it’s only out on Windows (10) for now (since I reckon most DDO players have 2 monitors and hopefully Windows 10)….
At least, I *think* this is life 34!
The build itself has been quite fun. I had forgotten how nice it was to just hit things ๐ But since my last post about TR’ing into this life was at the end of May, it shows just how long it’s taken to get from 15 to our current 27 1/2. We’re just not playing as much as we used to. But, the end is in sight and we’re hoping to make a push this week to cap.

Yes I know, shockingly I have another blog post within the space of a week – but it’s a quick one I promise.
For the few people who do wander over here, I just wanted to let you know that the new site I blogged about last week has been turned off. The experiment with Azure shows that although Azure is pretty nifty for putting things in the cloud, it’s not really cost effective for me and my meagre site.
But I did like the new theme I found for the new site, so I’ve ported that over here ๐ Also – sorry DDOCentral but I’m still not changing my image sizes!
Have fun, see you around!
This blog is well over a week late – because we TR’d last weekend after completing our last set of lives (mine a Druid, Rach a Ranger). That was (thankfully) my last Druid life. I can’t say I’ve really enjoyed any of them, apart from the use of the Earthquake spell.
