Ravenloft

I’m sure I won’t be the first or last DDO blogger to cover Ravenloft. I may even do some more on the new expansion pack, as we only had a chance to run 3 of the available 12 quests when we stepped in for the first time last night. Note for anyone who has not looked at the new quests there may be some minor spoilers.

OK, so, disclaimers! We ran the quests at Heroic Elite (level 12) and we are currently level 14. We’ve not read anything about the new quests/areas and didn’t try the Lammania preview.

It’s Alive!

Way back when, in the mists of time *cough* 3 years ago *cough* I said I was putting together an app that would bring together solvers for the puzzles found in DDO. And as of today – that app is live!

As an excuse I would like to offer Bonnie’s explanantion

OK, it’s only out on Windows (10) for now (since I reckon most DDO players have 2 monitors and hopefully Windows 10)….

Slogging through life 34

At least, I *think* this is life 34!

The build itself has been quite fun. I had forgotten how nice it was to just hit things πŸ™‚ But since my last post about TR’ing into this life was at the end of May, it shows just how long it’s taken to get from 15 to our current 27 1/2. We’re just not playing as much as we used to. But, the end is in sight and we’re hoping to make a push this week to cap.

Site Update

Yes I know, shockingly I have another blog post within the space of a week – but it’s a quick one I promise.

For the few people who do wander over here, I just wanted to let you know that the new site I blogged about last week has been turned off. The experiment with Azure shows that although Azure is pretty nifty for putting things in the cloud, it’s not really cost effective for me and my meagre site.

But I did like the new theme I found for the new site, so I’ve ported that over here πŸ™‚ Also – sorry DDOCentral but I’m still not changing my image sizes!

Have fun, see you around!

TR, Site & App

TR

This blog is well over a week late – because we TR’d last weekend after completing our last set of lives (mine a Druid, Rach a Ranger). That was (thankfully) my last Druid life. I can’t say I’ve really enjoyed any of them, apart from the use of the Earthquake spell.

Thou Hast Finished Paladin

Otherwise known as “Life 32 Complete” but I’m getting bored of using variations on that as a blog post title.

But yes, we capped yesterday. My build was (something that would make Lessah and all other Paladin lovers shudder) 7 Paladin/7 Rogue/6 Monk quarterstaff build. I really thought this was my final Paladin life (assuming I stick with 3 of each and DDO don’t bring in incentives to run more) but it turns out I have one more to go. Darn.

31 down, 11 to go….

If I’ve counted correctly that is.

We capped our current lives this weekend. This life I have run a pure Ranger, with Rach running her mostly Druid with a bit of Rogue & Wizard. The combination has worked out really well (again!). Once we got to a higher level especially, as Rach would Earthquake the mobs while I picked them off. They didn’t really have a chance πŸ˜€

Life 30 and Stuff

Hey peeps, long time no blog Β  πŸ™‚ Since I’m too tired to revise this lunch time I thought I’d throw an impromptu blog your way.

Hymm capped life 30 a few weeks ago now. Obviously Rach capped her main, Willowing, too – but I’ve no idea what life she is on. (I’m fairly sure she doesn’t know either Β  πŸ˜› ). I know in my last blog (oh so long ago) I said I intended to do 15 Wizard/5 Warlock but when I actually started the build process and looking at the spells I would lose – I changed my mind. So I went with a pure Deep Gnome Wizard with focus in Illusion, with Necomancy second. I had a fine old time running around and PK’ing and FoD’ing stuff Β  πŸ™‚

Life 29 Complete

Hey all. Apologies once again for the lack of blogs lately. Work is hectic and we seem to scarcely have a weekend to ourselves to just game lately. But Evennote and Citi are doing a fine job of putting out regular posts. If you don’t already follow them, check them out πŸ™‚

Today saw Hymm and Willowing hit level 30 on what is Hymm’s 29th life. This was my 2nd fighter life and I went 12 fighter/8 rogue and back to my favourite style of play – quarterstaff fighter. It’s been a fun solid build, though I suspect it was made much easier by running with a pure Warlock, which is Rach’s third Warlock life. I think she’s looking forward to moving on to other builds – she’s actually kind of bored of the Warlock now (what?!?).

DDO App Update

Things have been a bit quiet regarding the DDO Puzzles app and I wanted to give those few of you who may be interested in it an update.

It’s not done yet.

OK a bit more than that :-). I really wanted it to be released by the end of June, but we moved house a few weeks ago so the last few weeks have been spent packing, moving, cleaning, decorating – all the fun things you want to fill your spare time :-/ Continue reading
